In the summer of 2022, I was travelling to visit family in the US and had only brought my iPad Pro with me to do art. I used the app Rough Animator for iPad and made this short animation of my original characters, Ash and Z. Animating on the iPad was a struggle, since it’s much different than animating on Toon Boom Harmony. The backgrounds were done in Procreate and I put it all together using CapCut.
The song is “Tell Me You Know” by Good Kid, one of my favourites from the band. I originally had this idea when I listened to the song and the super cool chorus. The repeating words really inspired me to do quick cuts of something, which ended up being photo booth pictures in the final product.
