My background in animation and digital art began in high school, where I studied at Sisler High School in Winnipeg, MB. Throughout my high school years, I was a part of various projects such as The Orange Tree Project in partnership with Nickelodeon in 2021, where I worked on the 3-minute short “Grim Companion” which was a finalist in the 2021 Ottawa International Film Festival and screened at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival and Calgary Film Festival. In 2022, I also developed a series in partnership with Nickelodeon Development, working with Series Development Executives such as Revati Dhomse, Olivia Kerrigan, Clarke Jacobs, and Leslie Wishnevski.
I had the opportunity to do a paid internship for Nelvana, utilizing my expertise in Toon Boom Harmony master controllers and rigs to craft engaging animations for Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go. Prior to this, I served as an Animated Content Creator for Toon Boom Animation, where I created 2D animated content for online animation courses.
My talents have been acknowledged within the animation community, as I have been a panelist at the Ottawa International Animation Film Festival, discussing “Getting to the Roots of The Orange Tree Project at Sisler High School” with Carson Smith. Additionally, I have hosted a panel on Nickelodeon’s “Storyboarding Workshop” at the CTN Live eXpo and presented a slideshow to the Wacom International audience.
I am also a proficient storyboard artist, concept artist, and project manager. My skills have been honed through my education at the Post-High Sisler CREATE Program, where I specialize in 2D animation. Furthermore, I am certified in Toon Boom Harmony and Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. I am also well-versed in working within a team throughout the animation pipeline, and have experience with social media influencing and management.
My talents have been recognized through various awards and accolades, including a Full Tuition Scholarship to Vancouver Film School in 2024, Skills Manitoba Bronze Winner in 2021 and 2022, 24 Hour Animation Contest placements in 7th, 12th, and 20th, Schroeder Merit Awards from 2019-2022, and the Carole Vivier Scholarship in 2022. I also received a YouTube Silver Play Button for reaching over 100,000 subscribers in 2022.
