Day’s Eye – Walk Cycle

In my senior year at SislerCREATE, I was part of a mentorship program with 4 Nickelodeon Development Executives who guided me and 5 other students in creating a series pitch deck, including a series bible, animatic, and other deliverables. An exercise that helped us develop our characters’ personalities was creating unique walk cycles for the main cast in an animated looping gif. More information about the series will be available in the future.

Day’s Eye – Walk Cycle

During my senior year at SislerCREATE, I participated in a mentorship program that provided myself and five other students with guidance from four Nickelodeon Development Executives: Leslie Wishnevski, Revati Dhomse, Olivia Kerrigan, and Clarke Jacobs. They specialise in series development at Nickelodeon and offered invaluable insight into the creation of our own series. Our group of six students divided into three teams of two, each team creating a comprehensive series pitch deck that included a series bible, a 13-minute animatic, and numerous other deliverables.

One exercise that helped us to better understand the personalities of our characters was the creation of a walk cycle animation. I devised a unique walking style for each member of the main cast and animated a looping GIF. This was one of my favourite pieces that I created for the series with my co-showrunner, Kimberly Chau. More information about our series will be made available in the future.
